Demokratische Wahrheit statt postfaktischer Politik

In Journal für politische Bildung 7.4, 16–20.

Abstract

Speaking of an “era of post-truth” is popular but wrong. It masks the authoritarian gesture by which this diagnosis limits politics. Instead we need to come to terms with the full complexity of the relationship between truth and politics. A crucial step is to hold fast to two seemingly contradicting insights: the fact of a plurality of truth and the potentially coercive force of truth.
