WestEnd. Neue Zeitschrift für Sozialforschung, which has been published by the Institute for Social Research since 2004, is aimed at a broad intellectual reading audience. It takes its lead from its famous predecessor, the Zeitschrift für Sozialforschung, insofar as it remains committed both to the idea of interdisciplinarity and to the claim of a critical theory of society. It publishes essays from a variety of disciplines that, taken together, contribute to a comprehensive analysis of the current social situation and uncover perspectives for emancipatory transformation.
